Books I bought:

There has been a lot about Broken and Screwed on the blog in the last few days. Sorry 'bout that. Actually, no. Not really. Tijans awesome! This book was released a day early and I bought it Thursday. I also finished it Thursday. The review will be up sometime next week. I loved it! Read my review of the first book here.

Since I'm currently flat broke, this is supposed to be the only book I buy this month. We'll see how that work out and you have my full permission to tickle me senseless if I buy anything else....

Review: Broken and Screwed by Tijan

Image
Since Broken and Screwed 2 is being released today I did a re-read of the first installment. I needed to remember the details of how BS1 ended before I read BS2, and since I hadn't published a review of this one I thought I'd hit two birds with one stone.

She finds that not only has the army never included a woman, but it has never included a Sventé vampire; a breed that is regarded by the super strong Pagori breed and the hypnotically beautiful Keja breed to be too tame and human-like. Most refuse to take her seriously, especially a Pagori commander named Jared who she craves in spite of herself.
The Grand High Master, however, sees her potential and offers her the position of Jared’s co-commander to help train the newest squad in time for the impending attack on his home. Sam has to demonstrate to Jared and the squad of chauvinists why it is incredibly foolish to underestimate a wilful, temperamental, borderline-homicidal S…

Top Ten Tuesday #7: Most Memorable Secondary Characters

Image
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly Top Ten list hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Today we'll cover memorable secondary characters and anyone who's followed my blog know that I am terrible at remember anything else than whether I loved the book or not when two week's past! These are the ones I do remember (isn't that kinda the requirement for being memorable?)

In no particular order:

1. Logan Kade - Fallen Crest High series by Tijan - For those who somehow have managed to missed it, I LOVE TIJAN. I'll shout it to everyone who will listen, and those who won't. Logan Kade is the main character's new stepbrother. He's popular, ridiculously hot, sleeps with anything that moves and somehow manage to hide his sweet and gentle side from the rest of the world. I have the biggest crush on Logan!

2. Hailey - The Cresent Chronicles by Alyssa Rose Ivy - She sarcastic, witty and a no nonsense kinda girl full of awesome come-backs. What's not to love?

3. Shep Beautiful …

Books I bought:

Books I've read by Chelsea M. Cameron before have been fantastic and Nocturnal sounded just as promising. After I read it (my review) I just knew I had to read the rest of the series. Both book one, two and three was on sale on Amazon (and still are!) so I didn't even hesitate! I am so curious about Branded, the blurb had me hooked and I just hope that it can live up to my already high expectations!

Received review copies:

I don't know what I'd do without NetGalley! I haven't read Heist Society yet but I will, sometime... Double Crossed is #2.5 so I hope it won't spoil to much!

Waiting on Wednesday #1: Breaking Nova by Jessica Sorensen

Breaking Nova by Jessica Sorensen. I've got lots of books by Jessica on my All Time Favorite list and this one seems just as great!

September 3rd, 2013

Goodreads synopsis:

Nova Reed used to have dreams-of becoming a famous drummer, of marrying her true love. But all of that was taken away in an instant. Now she's getting by as best she can, though sometimes that means doing things the old Nova would never do. Things that are slowly eating away at her spirit. Every day blends into the next . . . until she meets Quinton Carter. His intense, honey brown eyes instantly draw her in, and he looks just about as broken as she feels inside.
Quinton once got a second chance at life-but he doesn't want it. The tattoos on his chest are a constant reminder of what he's done, what he's lost. He's sworn to never allo…

The Big Move

Image
I will slowly be moving my blog at debscrazyobsession.hemsida24.se to this new blog at Wordpress. I LOVED Hemsida24's website platform compared to Blogger, which I've always used before, but now after a month and a half I've realized there are things that H24 really lacks. Like scheduling posts. It's an awesome place to build a website and e-store containing a blog, not so much for having a blog that contains other pages. For a few weeks I will be cross-posting all my post, until September 8th if everything goes according to plan.

So today I've been going back and forth between WP themes for hours trying to figure out how you can and can't customize them and I've liked so many of them! Every one of them had something I really appreciated about them and had something that another theme lacked. At the end of the day I had to decide which features was a "want" and which was a "need" and go with a theme that had all my "needs". This…
